Owen Howes is a skilled and devoted songwriter. He works hard to find hope inside of heartbreak, a ribbon of shade at high noon, an eddy of thought to drift on. Maine and its people move him more than anything else. He received an honorable mention in American Songwriter and was a finalist in the 2023 Maine Songwriter Association’s annual contest. He squeezes songs in between timber frames, strings of lobster traps, and chasing the dog around.
