The Azures are a psychedelic rock band heavily inspired by the beat poet generation & psychedelic era. They are a hard-hitting obscure notion of rock n’ roll, delving into heavy grunge, delta blues, prog rock & gritty punk, showcasing their diverse range of musical prowess. Cited as doom psychedelia, their darkly chaotic energy ignites spectators with a galvanic fervor unlike any other band. The band consists of vocalist and lyricist, Gia Rose, guitarist, Ashton Millman, bassist Clarissa Kerlin, and drummer, Eric Brody. The band has played all over the East Coast since they first began playing in Summer 2022. From Canada, to New England, to the South they have played various kinds of venues ranging from DIY spaces to concert halls and national event stages. The Azures believe in rebellion through the art of creating and use their musical platform to bring awareness to modern issues and light to cleansing the bounds of perception. In April 2023 the band released their first single “ Come on Down” a song inviting listeners to “ Tune In, Trip out” much like Timothy Leary’s teachings “ Turn on, Tune In, Drop Out”. They then went on to release a metaphorical “ B side” follow up single “ Lust of the Night” a sensually psychedelic ode to the limitless possibilities of night. The Azures released their self-titled debut album in February 2024. The album then went on to win Psychedelic Rock Album of the year at the 2024 Indie Music Awards in Atlantic City, NJ. Lyricist and Vocalist of the band Gia Rose also won Songwriter of the year from her lyrical efforts on the album.
